Balancing Barn.

Wooow... do you believe this??? Well, you should, cause it actually exists in Suffolk, UK. Let me introduce you to this Balancing Barn holiday home, which is made by MVRDV and Mole Architects, including a swing under the 15 metre cantilever. While the architecture is unbelievable, the interior is very nice and comforting.

Desk Daisy.

Need a flower on your desk to lighten up your day? Try Desk Daisy. It's a flower made from paper clips. This is one of those things that made me smile today. Nicely done, Liz Goulet Dubois, Fred Studio.

Silk Air Promotion.

This is a very entertaining promotion by Silk Air. Like I said before, Singapore is crowded with ads and promotions, so if you want to promote something, you'd better be good, or you'd better be big...^^ and I think Silk Air did it nicely.

The Nano Block.

Nano Block fascinates me. From the very first time I saw it at Vivo City, I love it so much. Nano Block looks like Lego, only way smaller. The smallest part is a mere 4x4x5 mm. The amazingly small micro sized block makes it possible to create more detailed and even smaller projects than what can be made with standard sized blocks.

Citibank Ad.

Again, I just love the copy. I think it's bold and straight to the point. Sometimes we need to say it just that.

Levis Ad.

Well, I think this ad has been all over Asia. But I just love the copy, so I decided to post it anyway. I think I found this billboard also in Orchard Road...

Molecule.

I love this store so much. This Molecule store sells clocks, and I mean all kinds of clocks! digital and analog you name it, it's all there. And it's not just standard boring clocks, it's uniquely designed and state of the art clocks... Oh, and this Molecule store is located in Orchard Central, Orchard Road, in case you want to visit it.

Sweet Escape.

I was so fed up with work these past few months that I decided to have a short vacation to Singapore to bring back my working appetite. It felt really good actually, having a sweet escape once in a while. And I think it would be fun to share all my findings here. Who knows it will bring something good...^^

The Switch.

I wish it was my apartment that's been renovated by Yuko Shibata. This Switch project was an inspiration and a solution for everyone who's trying to find some space to do your work at home, and pack it up when you're done. It's good for small apartments with not much room left for office work.
The project features one partition that slides out over the dining table to create a meeting room on one side and library on the other.
The green bookcase pivots round at the end of the day to reveal a bedroom.

ABC Chairs.

Also think it would be nice to put these ABCChairs in my room... Rotterdam designer Roeland Otten has designed a collection of 26 chairs, each spelling out one letter of the alphabet. The seats can then be arranged to form words. Or, in my opinion, let's make my name with these chairs. At least, my nickname...^^

Carro Lungi.

Wowww, this is a cute one. I can imagine putting one of these in my room. Would be very nice... You know what, I think it could be a nice desk. Make small adjustments, put some here and there, add a cute chair... perfect! Designers Ciszak Dalmas actually made this hand-cart to display garments made from Indian sarongs by fashion designer Kavita Parmar of Raasta.

Flex by Georgi Manassiev.

A very nice and ergonomic Flex chair by Design products graduate Georgi Manassiev, presented at the Royal College of Art graduate show in London.

Skeleton Hanger.

This is just what I need. And it made me smile too...^^... Maybe because it is exactly what I need.... I got to many hangers hanging on the back of my bedroom door, and it just made my room look extra cluttered. And this Skeleton Hanger is a problem solver. Made by London designer Roger Arquer, it allows several shirts to be held on the same clothes hanger.

Cube Watch.

I want this watch! German designer Matthias Zschaler has made this concept watch, taking its geometry from an isometric drawing of a cube.

The Somerset House Book Stall System.

A very nice and practical book stall by London Metropolitan University graduate Fotis Evans. You can change how it stands whenever you want to. Lovely.

Fragile.

Need to tell your guests that your table lamp is fragile? Just write it down...^^ ... This "Fragile" lamp shade wrapped in adhesive tape is by Italian designer Sylvia Pichler for design brand Skitsch.

Brew Dog.

Scottish brewery BrewDog have packaged their latest range of beers inside stuffed animals. This is a very odd but also eye-catching packaging idea. It sure did grab my attention alright...^^

The Bent Hands.

I got to say this, I just love the Asians artists and inventors... They just never stop thinking... And they always combine art and technology altogether, delivering an extra ordinary beautiful invention everyday. This clock (oh yeah, it's a clock!) is called The Bent Hands by Giha Woo and Shingoeun, because it has a 'bent arm' to indicate the time in different countries around the world. So the linked dots shows the time in that particular countries pointed by the dots. Headache? Me too. I might stick to the ordinary clock, but I just adore the invention!

VitraHaus.

Wow, isn't this amazing? This is VitraHaus by Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron, which has opened at the Vitra Campus in Weil am Rhein, Germany. The VitraHaus project joins existing buildings on the Vitra campus.

Tube. Handmade Unicums.

Well I don't know about you, but I just love recycled stuff... Keeps the earth alive. And this is why I love the recycling idea more and more, because some people just make it so good that it looks like new. See for example is Tube: Handmade Unicums. Their products are almost completely produced from old bicycle tubes or remaining stocks. And they even ask you to join their recycling movement, if you'd like. You can make a belt yourself using their ready to use belt buckle. So whenever you have a flat tire, don't throw it away just yet. Who knows someone you know needs a 'cool' belt...^^

Quick CD Case.

Longing for a quick solution to make your Portfolio CD look nice? This folded paper CD case might be a good alternative. Very easy. I love it. See more CD cover designs here.

Jeunesse.

I found this place called Jeunesse at CookandBook. I think it's some kind of library in France. But I just love the layout and the whole interior design... This is what my library would look like. If I have one... ^^... Someday... Someday...
